Stop letting the nail salon you go to take your tips and old acrylic off with Metro cards or any other type of card. You can literally rip off your nail plate and get an infection. Laziness and being fast does not make you have good looking nails. Your hands will pay for it later.
When you want to remove the acrylic, soak your nails in pure acetone and use an orange woodstick. They look like chopsticks with points on both ends.
It only takes about 15 or 20 minutes for it to soak off unless the previous person put a ton of acrylic on your nails. It happens. Too thick acrylic will start to come off.
